Ears to Hear

Good Morning,

At the beginning of this year, the Lord spoke to us concerning
the number, '3'.  Here are some simple facts about three.  Three lines
are necessary to form a plane figure; and three dimensions
of length, breadth, and height, are necessary to form a solid.  Three is
the symbol of the cube, or solid contents.  Three, therefore, stands for
that which is solid, real, substantial, complete, and entire.  All
things that are specially complete are stamped with the letter three.
God's attributes are three: omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence.  There are three great divisions of time——-past, present, and
future.  Three kingdoms embrace our ideas of matter—mineral,
vegetable, and animal.  Three, denotes in the scriptures divine
perfection.  Three represents the Godhead trinity: God the Father; God the Son; God the Holy Spirit.  The first time the number three is seen in the Word is in Gen.1:13; "And the evening
and the morning was the third day."
Look
back at verses 9-12.  The earth was caused to rise up out of the water
and the earth began to produce.  This was a divine resurrection
power.  It was divine perfection.  Now, let's look at this number
concerning our Lord; it was on the
third day that Jesus was perfected [resurrected].  It was at the third hour that He was crucified; and it was three hours
(from the 6th to the 9th) that He suffered.  We could go on about the
power of this number, but let's place our attention on what it stands
for, it is:
solid, real, substantial, complete and entire.

Now is the time for us to place our focus on these things; Solid means, having sound judgment or knowledge; serious-minded, thoroughly grounded; reliable.  I Col. 1:23; "If you continue in the faith grounded and settled,
and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have
heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under
heaven…"
Real means, authentic, genuine, not merely apparent, actual, free from pretense or affectation, sincere.  Romans 12:9; "Let your love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good."  Substantial is to be, sturdy; firm; unshakable.
I Corin. 15:58; "So, my dear brothers and sisters, be firm
(steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord
[ always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord, knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [is never wasted or to no purpose]."
Complete–not lacking anything necessary, to bring to an end or to its final intended condition, perfect, conclude. Phil. 1:6; "And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He who began
a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right
up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you."
  Entire–whole, undiminished,
unimpaired, blameless, no part lacking,
unblemished.  James
1:3-4; "Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your
faith brings out endurance and steadfastness and patience.  But let
endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a
thorough work, so that you may be people perfect and entire and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing."
Ephesians 5:27; "That He might present the church to Himself in
glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things; that she
might be holy and without blemish."

What our Father is doing right now is getting His church prepared against the third day.  Just as our Lord was resurrected on the third day and the earth was resurrected from the waters on the third day, it is indicative of our Father that He is preparing us for our resurrection day.  He is causing us (as we yield to Him) to become solid in our faith, real in our love walk, substantial in our work for the Lord, complete in who we are in Him, and entire in our God-like character, all blemishes being removed.  I am reminded of Hosea
6:1&2; "Come and let us return to the Lord, for He has torn so
that He may heal us; He has stricken so that He may bind us up.  After
two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise
[resurrect
] us up so that we may live before Him."

Love,
