Ears to Hear

Good Morning,

Everyone has gone through some tests, trials or tribulations in
their lifetime, and that makes us human.  Then there are those of us
that go through tests, trials etc., and we grow and change as we go
through, and that makes us Christ-like.  It is how you go through 'a
thing' that makes the difference.  Let's talk about remaining the 'light
'no matter how dark it gets around us.
Isaiah 60:2-3; "For, behold, the darkness
shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord
shall arise upon you, and His glory shall rise upon you.  And nations
shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising."
In the midst of darkness we are to remain a bright light.  So that they can see the Christ in us.  Gross means thick, gloomy, immediately, obvious, plain, evident, out and out, complete, and flagrant, rank and unmitigated.  Darkness has already become excessively growing and heavy, and we must keep shining even more brightly.  How do we stay bright?
John 1:5; The light shines on in the
darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it and has never
overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it and the
darkness is unreceptive to it].
How do we keep our light burning like a torch when the darkness is trying to envelope our light?  Psalms 34:1-9; "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.  "Will
means to choose; used to express desire, choice, consent; a habitual
action or a natural tendency or disposition; an inclination; a
settlement of any mental uncertainty and indecision made by a choice
clearly known in advance and requiring effort.
The word bless
means to make happy; give good satisfaction to; to confer prosperity
upon, highly favor; endow; to bring pleasure and contentment to
[something that promotes or is the source of happiness] to give grace
to [to regard with goodwill and approval to regard above all others; to
prefer and to be partial towards like a light].  Now we are to praise the Lord continually, to praise means to shine like a light; to make a show, to boast and to be clamorously foolish (vibrant; demonstrative; be tumultuous) to rave; to celebrate; to give light to stultify; to utter aloud; noisy outcry, appeal, demand or proclaim incessantly.  This is how we keep our flames burning bright and this is how we stay light!  By praising and blessing!  So therefore we must
will or make a choice, consent and incline, desire to express and
require effort to overcome uncertainty or indecision in our mind or
disposition to bless at all times
.  I will make God happy, give God good satisfaction and highly favor and promote God as my source of happiness.  I
will endow and bring pleasure and contentment, and give grace to regard
God above all others and prefer God and be partial towards Him at all
times.
As we will to bless God and praise Him, we are lighting the fire that must burn bright.  I
will shine like a light, by showing and boasting and be clamorously
foolish.  I will be vibrant, radiant and demonstrative.  I will be
tumultuous, rave and celebrate.  I will give light to God by uttering
aloud, making a noisy outcry, by appeal and proclaiming incessantly
continually.
    As darkness
becomes more thick and gloomy, more plain, evident and flagrant, we are
to bless and praise God.  In good times or bad.  In times of planting and
times of plucking up.  In times of healing and in times of dying.  In
times of of casting away and in times of embracing.  In times of weeping
and in times of laughing.  At all times as we bless and praise God, we
are keeping the flames burning bright!  So give God praise anyhow.  Bless
Him continually!  Remember our light will bring nations and kings to our
Lord.

Love,

Pastor D.
