Good morning,
We must be very discerning in the days that we are in, and our ability to discern everything in our lives, must be based upon the understanding of the Word of God. The enemy is throwing out all kinds of propaganda against the family of God. So, we must make everything line up with the Word, or we may end up following the lead of the enemy. Quite often when we are trying to appease the flesh we end up following the guide of the wicked one and not the Holy One. Propaganda means a group or movement that is organized to spread a particular system of ideas or principles; spreading ideas or rumors for the purpose of injuring a cause (Christianity) or a person; rumors spread for the purpose of damaging another person. Along with offenses, the devil's desire is to bring about division, confusion, and unrest. With all that going on in a person's life and mind, it will be difficult for them to hear the, "still small voice" of the Holy Spirit. We know that we are to be led by peace, but we are usually trying to get peace at any cost, and therefore we end up doing all manner of things that God hasn't sanctioned. We are supposed to "war" with the Word in order to enjoy this peace of God! Phil. 4:6-7; Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hears and minds in Christ Jesus.
We can not afford to have a false peace, in order just to get along. Jesus spoke truth and it separated many people because their belief system was wrong. The Word says this; "Casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour; whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world." (1 Peter 5:7-8) The accuser is one that is a plaintiff, one that bring a a charge or an offense against another. The Word says that the accuser of the brethren is the devil (Rev. 12:10). The Word further says about the devil who accuses us before God day and night is a liar. " …He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." (John 8:44) We must make sure we are led by truth and walk in truth in the whole of our lives. We are those who live the Word, not those who just go to church. We are living epistles read of men, our lives should be the signpost of our God. We should be able to say, "when you've seen me, you've seen the Father." We are Christ-like. We only follow the Shepherd. We will not be led by propaganda, only the Word; "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them and they follow Me. And a stranger they will not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers." (John 10: 27 & 5)
Love,
Pastor D.
