Ears to Hear/Hearts to Obey

Good morning,
Today I will be sharing a message that God has been revealing to us at
our church, God wants us to live in the realm of the supernatural, that
we are consistently growing in the area of the supernatural, which means
that the natural man must be yielded and decease in being the leader of
our emotional life.  The supernatural invades the natural.  We are to be
operating in our lives as the word was spoken to Jeremiah.  Let's look at
Jeremiah 1:10; "See, I have this day appointed you to the oversight of the nations and of the kingdoms to root out and pull down, to destroy and to
overthrow,
to build and to plant."  We
have to be co-laborers with God, in this case in the field of our
hearts.  We assist God by taking the Word of God and applying it to our
own garden, our heart, to root out (to get out
what has anchored or supported or nourished our outward produce or
fruit; those ways that are not productive).
  God
is interested in building and planting in our lives, His Kingdom, His
way of being and doing things, the supernatural, and that is done by
getting rid of our ways, by rooting out, pulling down and destroying the
natural, fleshly ways.  We have gone through several processes to pull
down the strongholds and roots that are weights that keep us from
soaring to the heights that God wants us to.  In our Sunday service God
was showing us through His Word, the root
system is what He has always dealt with.  We are often removing the seen
weeds from the top, pulling them up for a day or two, but they keep
manifesting itself, because the roots are still deep.  Here is just a few
of the manifestations or fruit of the roots that God is destroying out
of His garden;  regrets, insecurities, inferiorities
(low self-esteem; poor self-image); guilt, shame, envy, jealousy, fear,
worry, doubt & unbelief, pride, anger, bitterness & unforgiveness, control & manipulation, and selfishness, just to name a few of the outward manifestations of the inner root.
Hebrews 12:1 says to; "Therefore then, since we are
surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who
have borne testimony to the Truth],
let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight)
and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and
entangles us,
and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us," We have got to strip off and throw these weights and sin aside, we have
to want be delivered from them.  It must be our desire to get to the
root of the weights.  Weights
are things that hold us down; it is whatever is prominent, bulky,
burdensome or encumbrance (something that hinders, hampers or impedes
our function).  We
are talking now about the root of bitterness that keeps popping up in
our spirit-filled lives in a variety of the ways mentioned.  Hebrews 12:
14-15; says to; "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;  Roots
are also the origin and source that causes something [the weight] to
become fixed or firmly attached, it keeps things established.  Roots
become strongholds.
Roots are brewing under the surface.  Roots consistently fuel and grow things on the surface.  In
other words the outward manifestations are coming from the roots, kill
the root, get rid of the bad fruit.  But you must be a laborer, you must
work and yield to God's Word in
our heart where the root has
embedded itself.  I will close with this thought of bitterness,
it is marked by intense, severe,  and pungent.  It presents itself as a
sharp arrow; venomous, sharp and biting; piercing or designed to cause
pain or anguish.  Remember
this root of bitterness troubles you first before it defiles many
others.  It produces sour, sharp, cynical, sarcastic, mocking,
contemptuous, and wounded fruit.  It is vital that we kill the root to
produce more God-like fruit.  We must yield to the working of the Word in
our hearts, the garden of God, where the supernatural flow from!

Love,
