For the fruit [or product] of this Light within you is only what is
good and true. And try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord [let your lives be constant proof of what is most acceptable to Him]. Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds and enterprises of darkness, but instead [let your lives be so in contrast as to] expose and reprove and convict them.
under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives
light to all in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine
out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. We must lead lives that expose and reprove dark ways of living. We do
that by doing right. We have the ability to walk in obedience to the
Word and turn up the Light. Light-we look at
everything around us using light. Paintings, sunsets, blue skies,
shooting stars, beautiful things; when we are looking at these things
we are in fact seeing light. Light is all our eyes can really see.
Three primary properties of light are: intensity; frequency; and polarization. Our intensity, as light should be to be extremely passionate in energy and in quality
in living our lives for God. Turning it up to the highest degree. Our frequency should be regularly, systematic, persistently and habitually doing the Word of God, no matter what the world is doing and saying around you. Polarized as the light in the sense that we are extreme opposites in our nature, tendency and in action to those who are living in darkness.
environment [at least the one we live in daily], by just doing what
light does, and shine. "But when anything is exposed and
reproved by the light, it is made visible and clear; and where
everything is visible and clear there is light." (Ephes. 5:13) Now, we are in the place of Isaiah
60:2; "For behold darkness shall cover the earth and dense darkness
(all) peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you, and His glory shall
be seen upon you." Isaiah 60:1; tells us to, "Arise, shine, for your
light is come, and nations shall come to your light, and kings to the
brightness of your rising". (Is. 60:3)
getting up, raising ourselves up, setting up, standing up, stirring
ourselves up, strengthening and establishing ourselves, so that we do
the works of the Light. As we stay intense, frequent and
polarized, this Light will cause us to succeed, confirm, accomplish and
continue to live in the glory, while exposing and reproving darkness.
As our Bridegroom tarries, the wise virgins keeps their lamps filled with oil, so that we can shine on!! (Matt. 25:1-13)
