Over the past couple of years we have had requests on where people can send donations, so for 2013 we are adding a paypal button on the blog for our readers to sow seed if they feel so inclined to do.  Again, thank you for your continued support, kind words, and prayers.  We pray that 2013 bring success and victory in every area of your life as you continue to have Ears to Hear and Hearts to Obey!

Ears to Hear/Hearts to Obey

Good morning,
We are sharing our word of prophecy from our recent Sunday service.
Over and over again, pray in the spirit, for as you pray in the spirit, you receive insight, wisdom, revelation, instruction and divine counsel.  Every time you pray in the spirit all wisdom is available to you, for any circumstance, any situation that you face.  I Am well able and I Am always there to give to you the very next step that you must take.  The reason why I say to pray more in the spirit, is to build yourself up.  You build yourself up when you receive counsel.  You build yourself up when you receive insight.  You
build yourself up when you receive revelation.  You build yourself up
when you receive wisdom and then you are well able to withstand anything
that would come against you.  So I say to you again this year,
you must pray more in the spirit.  Then Holy Spirit Who is
there to help you, Who is there to counsel you, Who is there to give you
strength, Who is there to be your advocate, Who is there to fight with
you and for you, Holy Spirit will rise up big on the inside of you and reveal to you more of the ways the Kingdom operate.  You will know that there is no way that you would succeed unless you pray.  And
you will find even in the midst of the most darkest night I will be
light even there and light will come and insight will come and you will
give Me glory and you will rejoice about it.  And the enemy will say, “why rejoice now?”  And
you’ll say to him, “Because I have all counsel, I have all wisdom, I
have all insight, I have Holy Ghost abiding on the inside of me, and He
is my friend and my
counselor”.  And then the enemy will back down and retreat
for a season, then he will come again because the enemy never stops
trying, he is consistent and I have made you to be even more consistent.
So that when he comes
again, you will constantly say to him, “I have help from on high, I have
been given all things that pertain to my life and God-likeness and I
will arise in every circumstance and situation”.  For you will recognize the greater One abiding on the inside of you like never before.  That
revelation will become real to you and you will know that you are not
alone and you will know that the greater One is your strength.  You will
come to depend on your help from without and within, saith the Lord.  And nothing shall be able to hold you down and back again.  You will arise, saith the Lord.  And this year,
says the Spirit of Grace and Mercy, you will lean your entire being on Me and experience My great peace!
"But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.." (Jude 1:20)
     "But
the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener,
Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My
place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all
things.  And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to
your remembrance) everything I have told you" (John 14:26)

Pastor D.

Ears to Hear/Hearts to Obey

Good morning,

As we draw nearer to Christmas and all of the festivities and traditions that we engage in at this time of year, I am reminded to be grateful to God!  This gratefulness is not about things, but about the generous kind heart of our loving Father.  Any and everyone that is living has had an opportunity to take offense with God and man, it comes attached with feelings of rejection, low self esteem, poor self image, a barrage of emotional baggage.  All of these emotions are twisted and ingrained into our lives while we are growing up as a snare to keep us from looking to and believing in a God Who only wants to do us good.  So that every time you start to trust that God will do you good, these feelings try to talk you back into the old-man's issues.  These are some of the crooked places in our lives that God by Holy Spirit is progressively and consistently working on removing from our make-up as new creations.  The enemy is always trying to pull up our past to hurt and harm us, that's why the Word is the agent to wash and purge them from our lives.  Remember the scripture says; "Every valley shall be lifted and filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked and uneven shall be made straight and level, and the rough places a plain.  And the glory (majesty and splendor) of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it." (Is. 40:4-5) The change is inevitable as we stand and believe again in the Word of God.  So, "Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward."  Confidence means free and fearless; boldness and assurance; freedom in speaking, openly, frankly without concealment.  As we continue to trust in God and His Word, then we will be able to cast down those emotional issues and not allow them to continue to be a stronghold in our life.  These are the things that keep us from taking all the territory that God has given to us.  We take our territory by freely speaking what God has done in our lives.  That means every time those "old heart" and emotional issues show up in our lives, we are to speak our bold assurance, that we are progressively changing.  Those valley and crooked places will be straightened out and then God's weightiness, His glory will be seen in our lives more and more.  Be confident that God will accomplish His good work in you.

So be aware of the enemy's plan to try and trick you into the same old stronghold of feelings.  Stop him before he starts with your confession of bold assurance.  "Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.  Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.  And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you." (1 Peter 5:8-10) Vigilant equals being keenly watchful to detect danger.  Being cautious shows alertness and prudence, or wisdom in responding to hazardous situations.  Recognize the enemy's tactics, that he's trying to dredge up your past, something that the Word has been steadily delivering you from.  Be cautious, Christmas which is meant to bring the best memories, sometimes, if we let him, the enemy will try to restore the old hurt feelings.  Do not let him seize you.  I know that not all of us have fond memories from our past but we can start afresh and anew with our heavenly Father.  We can really have a wonderful life, right now!  Listen as we speak with boldness and assurance about the Lord completing and grounding us in those areas in our lives that were crooked and know that He is making them straight even now.  Then we can be sure that the God of all grace [God exerting His holy influence; His power influencing our abilities]; will cover our emotions as well as all rejections, low self esteem, poor self image, and, any and all past memories, giving us the victory over them.  Resist and oppose the devil and his lies about you, do it the moment you hear anything that opposes the Word of God that concerns you.  Expect to see the glory, [the magnificence, the splendor and weightiness of God, all that makes God, God!] The glory and grace of God will be revealed in your life during this season.  Have a blessed and memorable Christmas, knowing that you have a lot to be grateful for in Him!

Love,

Pastor D.

Ears to Hear/Hearts to Obey

 Good morning,
     This
is another word of prophecy that was given at our Church. Our Father God
encouraging us to experience Him at another level of our faith and
growth.
     The Spirit of the Lord speaks to His own;
Intimacy is what I've been calling you to, so that you can know Me,
know me as your Daddy.  That nothing else will matter, you understand
because you know that Daddy will provide and take care of it.  Nothing
else will be able to take you down, because you won't discount Me as
your Helper.  Neither will you take those things that happened in your
life in the past and allow them to make you take an offense against Me,
because of your trust in Me as Abba.  You will know that Abba is working
it out for you.  That Daddy is going to bring it to pass.
     Just
make up in your mind, that this is a settled.  For you know throughout
your life, and you can constantly see it through the saints of old.  Every time I revealed Myself to them, every time I revealed Myself to
them anew and afresh they would make an altar.  It became an altar or
remembrance.  The saints of old would name that altar, sometimes as "the
God Who sees", "the God who provides", "the God our bread", "the God who
heals", they would name the altar in remembrance of Me, some as, "the
God who never leaves me", "the faithful Father" or "the One Who
protects".  So as I revealed Myself anew to you this year; name your
altar.  Name your altar and refuse to have it any other way.  They began
to build and put stones upon stones that were not easy to be removed, a
memorial to Me as I walked among them
.
And I'm saying this to you this day, that I Am not easily moved.  If you
build upon me, I will not be moved, therefore you will not be moved.
Begin to place the stones on your altar of remembrance.
Worship
Me at that altar in your heart, worship Me and yearn.  Yearn, yearn for
more of Me.  Cry out for more.  Remember?  Remember, Me and how I have made
Myself known to you.  Cry out for more, the pearl of great price, for I
Am worth it.  Finding that place in Me, just enter in.  That's all I
want, is for
you to remember, worship, and enter in for more.  You don't have to beg,
you don't have to plead.  If you will just believe, you can just walk in
to all that I Am
.
Just walk in like a little child.  Child like faith, child like belief
in me.  I will not turn you away, I will not give you a stone, I will not
give you a serpent.  I will give you exactly what you have asked Me for.
I am faithful, if you believe, you will see Me in a fresh revealing
way.  Just believe, simply believe.  Do not shade or obscure it with
unbelief and doubt.  Do not allow the enemy to bring up your past and
harbor those things against Me, for I Am faithful.  I want to do
exceedingly, abundantly above all that you could ask or think or even
dream.  I want to do those things, but I've been held up because all I
want is your simple belief of
me.  Simple trust.  I will do it, I Am doing it now.  I Am working it out,
making Myself known to you afresh and anew.
"And they were offended in him.  But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is
not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.  And
He did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief." (Mtt.
13:57-58)
     "Now
to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at
work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and
above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest
prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—" (Ephes 3:20)
     "Henceforth
I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord
doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard
of my Father I have made known unto you." (John 15:15)

Ears to Hear/Hearts to Obey

Good morning,
As we approach our new year of 2013, God speaks to us again of His great grace upon our inability.  Selah!
     The Spirit of the Lord says;
My grace shall be upon your life like never before.  My power and
ability to meet every one of your inability.  My grace will cover you
as a shield.  You will see My grace in
 the best
of times and yes even the worst.  My grace, my power and ability will
fuel your faith causing you to walk in an extraordinary faith when all
seems lost.  Through it all your commitment to worship and your
dedication to seeking my face will keep you increasingly growing in this
great grace.  I will hear from heaven and those who seek me, they will
find me.  You will know Me in the places of comfort, you will be like
Me in the places of adversity, you will not weaken, but receive greater
power.  You will know My grace because of the quiet times with Me,
living and experiencing Me in every circumstance of life.  You will know
me as I am truly Am.  You will know me as a God of great good.  For even
when I made myself known to Moses, I said, I allowed my
goodness.  Knowing that everything, everything else is wrapped up in my
goodness.  And I know that there are many of you who feel that of late
that you have only experienced the bad, but now comes your turnaround.  See, there is no way that you can continue to experience only troubles
if you've sown good seed, for I am faithful to My Word.  And he who sows
shall reap of the same kind.  So get ready to experience the greatness,
and the goodness of your God.  And you will say even as it is written
in My Psalms, "the Lord is good, yes, the Lord is good."  Yes, you will
speak of My grace and goodness to
one another, encouraging and building up one another.  Some of you I
have been only good to and you did not even see My goodness.  Every time
I answered, you attributed it to some one else or some other thing
trusted in.  But I have been faithfully good to you.  Count the
blessings, count your blessings, count your blessings and see how much
they outweigh the bad.  And I Am your God, and I Am faithful to My Word
and My promise to you.  I will never forsake you, no never.  I don't
care what the enemy has lied to you about.  He is a liar first and
foremost.  I am true!  Every word I say is true and I Am about to reveal
Myself and make Myself known to those who seek Me.  You will know Me as
your Abba.  No longer just God, but your Abba, your endearing
Father.  Your merciful Father, your gracious and
compassionate Father, your supplying Father.  Your Father who will now
give you great, great grace.  During this year you will know Me as Abba,
the great and powerful Father of all grace.  You will demonstrate My
grace in your life!
     " For
out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share
and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift." (John 1:16)

     "And
God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having
all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:" (2
Corin. 9:8)

Ears to Hear, Hearts to Obey

Good morning,
As Christians we need to stay in the Word of God to keep our minds stayed on Kingdom business.  Most of the time we may not utilize all that God has given to us to see to it that we succeed as Christians.  "For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue)." (2 Peter 1:3) Do you see that?  God has given to us through His divine power everything that pertains [to belong or be connected as a partpossession, attribute to; appropriate toto our life of being like God, or representing Him!  We all know that we have Holy Spirit, gifts of the Spirit, talents and abilities to help establish Kingdom life, but often we overlook the other help we have to assist us in our life of godliness.  Let's take a look!  Remember this is the Word, not something that is beyond our spiritual scope.  When we don't have knowledge and grasp the understanding of all that the Word says we have at our aid, we walk beneath our rights and privileges as children of the Most High God.  The background of the story is found in 2 Kings 6.  The nation of Israel and the nation of Syria were at war.  Syria was losing and every time it seemed their strategies were not working, the Syrian king became suspicious of Israel's seemly inside information.  He inquired of his servants, and one of his servants said that it wasn't any of them, but that it was the prophet Elisha.  That he was getting the information from their God and letting the king of Israel know.  That night they surrounded the camp of Dothan where Elisha was, let's see; "So [the Syrian king] sent there horses, chariots, and a great army.  They came by night and surrounded the city.  When the servant of the man of God rose early and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was around the city.  Elisha’s servant said to him, Alas, my master!  What shall we do?  [Elisha] answered, Fear not; for those with us are more than those with them.  Then Elisha prayed, Lord, I pray You, open his eyes that he may see.  And the Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha." (2 Kings 6:14-17) Think on that!  You have more help from on High.  God has given to us ministering angels to aid us in our walk of godliness.  These were warring angels!  The next time that the enemy tries to lie to you and make you feel you are all alone in your pursuit of being more like God and walking in His image, you remind him, that there are more that are for you, than are against you!  Let's look at another scripture; "in the mouth of two or thee witnesses let every word be established." (Matt. 18:16)
You know where I am headed, you students of the Word of God.  "Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?" (Heb. 1:14)  Ministering means to give service, care, or aid; and to attend to wants and necessities.  Angels are here to give service to us for everything that attributes to our salvation.  Salvation being deliverancepreservation, safety; and deliverance from the molestation of enemies.  Angels, like those that surrounded the mountains, are at our assistance, but if we lack knowledge of them, then we will not even know we can require their assistance for our preservation, safety, and deliverance.  Our welfare, our victory over all things, and our prosperity, spirit, soul, and body, is the assignment for our angels.  We have more for us, than against us.  You are surrounded by ministering angels, along with the host of heaven.  We can not lose with all that God has given to us!  Require the support, help, and aid of the ministering angels.  We have not because we ask not, so just ask with the right motive and purpose, to receive the full promised salvation!  Everything that make us more like our Father.

Love,

Pastor D.

Ears to Hear/Hearts to Obey

Good morning,
We will continue to share prophecies given at the ministry of
Hesed Ministries.  These are Words spoken to us in times of praise and
worship.  Times of refreshing that come from the Lord.  We keep these
words as another tool to use to overcome the enemy, along with the Word
of God, and praise and worship.  We know that God is calling us up to a
higher level of His glory for us to walk in, primarily because darkness
is getting darker, so it must be met with the most powerful light.  We
must decrease in our fleshly ways, so that He the Lord will increase in
us!  The Light of the world in us must be turned up a notch or two!
     The Spirit of the Lord says;
"In the Spirit there is ground and area
covered that you could never cover or go on your own.  But because you
have accepted the assistance of the Holy One, you have reached areas in
the realm of the Spirit that will carry you through.  You will be
victorious and you will notice a change in the way you see things.  The
way you approach things will be different now because some things that
were twisted in the realm of your mind and life were untwisted this
morning and you will begin to see the results of that in your walk with
Me.  And you will say it’s not by my might, it’s not by my power but it
will be by My Spirit says the Lord.  For I have done supernatural things
as you worshiped me, as you honored me by humbling your heart, and you
gave the little of yourself that you surrendered and you laid your
all at the altar, I accepted it.  I accepted what
you gave and I turned it around and multiplied it back into your life
far beyond what you could ever perceive.  I am doing supernatural things
in you even now and I will continue until signs and wonders follow.  You
will recognize says the Lord, in the days ahead something has changed in
you.  And you will say something has changed and you won’t understand,
and you won’t be able to see, but you’ll know some things now.  Your
understanding will be enlightened!  Those things that held you in
bondage in days gone by, you will recognize that you are now stepping
over them.  You will not be hindered by them any longer.  The enemy will try
and tempt you again and he’ll say, they are not hindered by these things
any longer.  All of his cohorts will recognize something shifted in
your atmosphere.  And when something shifted in your atmosphere, crooked
places were straightened out, old
strongholds were destroyed.  The greater one that lives and abides on
the inside of you will arise like never before and you will speak
victory over things that keep you from being all that I have made you to
be, and you will take the territory that I gave you establish the
Kingdom.  Yes, you understand the deeper truths of the Kingdom now, more
is being uncovered and revealed and made known to My children.  You
will receive it says the Spirit of grace for now you recognize who you
really are!  The sons and the daughters of the most high God and you
have equal seating with Me in heavenly places.  Accept that and
walk taller and be strong and be different from this moment on."
"And it shall come to pass in the
last days, God declares, that I will pour out of My Spirit upon all
mankind, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy [telling forth
the divine counsels] and your young men shall see visions (divinely
granted appearances), and your old men shall dream [divinely suggested]
dreams.  Yes, and on My menservants also and on My maidservants in those
days I will pour out of My Spirit, and they shall prophesy [telling
forth the divine counsels and predicting future events pertaining
especially to God’s kingdom
]." (Acts:2:17-18)
"And He replied to them, To you it has been given to know the secrets and mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given." (Mtt. 13:11)
     "[For
I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of
insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge
of Him, By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that
you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you,
and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart
ones), And [so that you can know and understand] what is the
immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,.." (Ephes.1:17-19)

Ears to Hear/Hearts to Obey

Good morning,
Let us keep on talking about, "count it all joy".  "Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.  Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and
do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully
developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing." (James 1:2-4)
How can we?  Why should we?  We know that the Word of God says this; "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence.  In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and
frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be
confident, certain, undaunted]!  For I have overcome the world.  [I have
deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]" (John
16:33)
Jesus overcame His trials and tribulations and He gave us the key and the pathway to do it too.
Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and
the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and
is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection].  He, for
the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the
cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God." (Heb. 12:2)

(Jesus looked beyond the pain, the suffering, the trials, and trouble
of the cross and looked to you and I; the end results of what he was
going through, there he received the joy).  Jesus looked beyond the
light momentary affliction and saw us, the joy of going through the
trial and the trouble.  You see why now we can do the same.  He lived as a
man of God to set the example for
us.  Distract means to draw away or to divert the mind or attention; to separate or divide by dissension.  Everything
that is trying to occupy your thought life has been sent to try and
divert your attention and mind from focusing on the "One" thing that
will bring you joy.  The enemy is successful when he can divide your
thoughts, instead of you placing your mind on the joy of the Lord as
your strength, you spend your thoughts on his lies.  We are not in faith,
but worry when our thoughts are spent on the "seen things".

Despise means to disdain, or to think little or nothing of.  Let's untwist that old thought pattern and set
our eyes on things above; refocus our thought life and have end result
thinking not momentary affliction.  Remember Peter on the water, as long
as he focused on Jesus, kept his eyes on the
Promise he was able to walk on the water, which is doing the
impossible, but the moment he put his eyes on what was happening around
him, he begin to sink.   "And Peter answered Him, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water He said, Come!  So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus, but when he perceived and felt the strong wind, he was frightened, and as he began to sink, he cried out, Lord, save me [from death]!" (Matt. 14:28-30) Just
like Peter as long as we look away from all that will distract; trials,
testing, tribulations, and stay focused on Jesus and the promises of
the Word, that's when our joy will be fulfilled! [that is real
water-walking] Fix your eyes on what God has promised you personally,
and in His Word, keep your eyes on that despite the loud turmoil, for God
cannot lie.  His Word
to you is yes and Amen!  Think little or nothing of what you are going
through in comparison to the Word of God and the promises you have!  Then
we too can find ourselves doing the impossible, walking on the water!
Water walkers stay focused by counting it all joy, looking away from all
that will distract!

Love,
Pastor D.

Ears to Hear/Hearts to Obey

 Good morning,

Today we would like to share another prophecy that we received
at Hesed Ministries.  We pray that it blesses you as it did us.  Remember
to "selah" pause, take time and meditate, until it floods your heart.

There is power in the spirit.  So much power in the spirit.  Everything I’ve made available to you
and if you were wise and your spirit was speaking to you.  For I have made your spirit be able to
hear my spirit.  And if you were
wise and your spirit was hearkening to my spirit you were gathering up
everything that you needed.
Everything that you needed to make you stronger, to heal you; to deliver
you; to set you free, to open your eyes.
To understand the depth of the calling that I have placed upon you.  Everything I’ve laid before you and I’ve
invited you to come in and partake of everything that I’ve laid out for
you.  And if you were wise you were
saying yes Lord, yes Lord.  And
your spirit was hearkening, deep was calling to deep and you were going higher
and higher to come and get, to come and fetch, to come and receive all that
belongs to you, all that I’ve laid out for you, if you were wise.  That’s why I’ve given you the spirit.  That’s why I’ve given you the ability
to pray in unknown tongues.  So
that the power on the inside of you would begin to release you from this
physical body, to take and to receive what rightfully belongs to you leaving
the precepts of reasoning’s behind and coming over into the deep things of God,
where spirit responds to spirit.
And this is where I’ve called you, to the higher places to the deeper
things.  That’s why I’ve say, “Pray
and intercede in the spirit.”  That’s
why I say, “Sing in the spirit”.
There are heights unknown and I want you to come.  I want you to see.  I want to unveil and disclose to you
everything that I’ve left for you.
Everything I’ve given you to make you strong, to make you mighty, to
make you overcomers in this life.
That’s what I want you to take of.
That’s what I want you to see.
So open your eyes and see.

"But, on the contrary, as the
Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not
entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and
keeps ready) for those who love Him, who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has
bestowed].  Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and
examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things
of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s
scrutiny]."
(1 Corin. 2:9-10)

"And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the [Holy] Spirit, combining and
interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language [to those who
possess the Holy Spirit].  But the natural, nonspiritual man does not
accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and
revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless
nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively
recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them]
because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and
appreciated.  But the spiritual man tries all things [he examines,
investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is
himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the
meaning of everything, but no one can
properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him]."
(1 Corin. 2:13-15)

Ears to Hear/Hearts to Obey

Good morning,
I have been thinking about making the most of everyday.  Living our lives to the fullest in Christ.  Not allowing the enemy of our
soul to steal another precious moment.  Now, I am not saying that we are
not faced with tough days and troubles that cause us to cry many tears.  We all have had and will have our share of testings and trials, but we need to get the revelation of "counting it all joy".  "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking
anything.
" (James 1:2-4; NLT) I
have never ran into or known anyone who considered it wholly joyful
when they have trials!  So, either we haven't reached this level of
appreciation of trials or we don't completely understand this verse.  I
have searched this out, and no matter what version we read it pretty
much says what we perceive it to mean.  Here it is in the Amplified and
King James version;
"Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.  Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.  But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough
work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing."  And next:  "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."  I
want that end result, don't you?  I desire to be fully developed,
mature, complete, no defects, and lacking nothing.  But in order to get
that we have to have an attitude of an expected good end while we are
walking through the trials
.  Divers carries a meaning of various sorts.  Temptations here is the meaning of an experiment, attempt, trial, proving; a)
trial, proving.
b) the trial of man's fidelity, integrity, virtue, constancy;
adversity, affliction, trouble.  Everyone of us have experienced various sorts of adversities,
afflictions, and troubles.  Whether it was physical, emotional,
financial, or relational, all come to try and test us spiritually.  Now
learning to be joyful in spite of the current circumstances as we
believe God for the good outcome that He has promised is the task that
we find trying and difficult.  But, don't be discouraged!  As with all
things Godly, we get to grow here by practice and progression.
To progress is a movement toward a goal or to a further or higher stage.  In this case a higher and further stage of joy.  It
is when we develop the ability to consider or think about the joy that
we will experience when we are fully and completely mature and lacking
nothing, and respond with that joy in advance, or while we are going
through any adversity, affliction, or trouble.  I, like you, get plenty
of opportunities to train and grow.
Just remember this is the time to stay connected to the work that is
being done by praying in the Spirit.  For as we do, "the needed things"
are being brought together to aid and assist us and bringing us closer
to the desired results.  It is certainly not the time to let our emotions
rule us, no, a thousand times no.  This is when we pull out the big guns
and pray without ceasing in the Spirit.  Read and meditate on this: "We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose." (Rom. 8:28) They
are fitting in a plan for good when we pray in the Spirit.  Let's read back up; "
So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and
groanings too deep for utterance.  And He Who searches the hearts of men
knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is],
because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will." (Rom. 8:26-27)
Oh yes, it is the elemental foundation of our faith.  We count it all joy by faith. "Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible
are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting," (2 Corin. 4:18)
Let's believe again!
