Ears to Hear

Good Morning,

Colossians 4:6  "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man."  "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers." (Ephesians 4:29) "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer." (Psalms 19:14)

This month there is a holy challenge being issued.  Can you speak only when it is to edify?  When you speak can you season your words?  Last, but the most important one.  Can all your words be acceptable to God?  We are all watching our words to get some material promise, like houses, cars, jobs, etc.  Yet, how many times are our words destroying or cutting down someone made in the image of God?  I wonder how many slayed saints have been left in the aftermath of the great hurricane of our mouths.  Look at the two headed monster that still lives in our mouth.  Let's clean it up all around, not just for our confessions that we apply for personal gain, or temporary pleasures.  "With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse men who were made in God's likeness!  Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing.  These things, my brethren, ought not to be so." (James 3:9-10)  Let us build the kingdom by building up one another, with our words.  We are the living stones, that make up God's temple.  We edify by using grace filled words.  Grace are words that have a divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in your life.  Grace filled words will affect the manner and the actions of those that you speak them to.  Season with salt means to make our words palatable, more agreeable to God's words; to be less severe, to prepare to be pleasant and give relish and zest to our words that others hear.  To keep safe from injury, harm or destruction; to keep alive and intact and free from decay.
Do your words have that kind of affect on those who listen to you?  Are they influenced with divine manners and reflections of godly actions after hearing you?  Can you honestly say that most of your words are easy to digest, agreeable, not harsh or severe?  Do people think that you are arguing even when you're not?  Your last conversation, was it filled with words that made the listener feel full of zest for living a godly life?  Did your last words bring injury, harm or destruction?  Today, can be a turn around in your conversation.  You can bring life to every one in your sphere.  All you need is a willing and obedient heart.  Learn to prepare your speaking and the words that you say.  Learn grace-talking and season-speaking.  Start off slow, choosing one word at a time.  Just because you talk a lot or talk fast, does not mean you know kingdom speaking, or that wisdom is dripping off of your tongue.  Start off with this simple confession.
"Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips." (Psalms 141:3)  If you would spend as much time watching your words that are spoken to people, as you do over temporal things, you will get astronomical results.  You will find Holy Spirit will come along side to assist you.  The kingdom is built of people that are made in God's image.  That is eternal building!! I hope I'm able to recognize you next month.

Ears to Hear

Good Morning,

John 18: 36— "Jesus answered, My
kingdom is not of this world, if My kingdom were of this world, then
would My servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews.  But as it is, My kingdom is not from here (this world) it has no such
origin or source."  Col. 1:12-13; "Giving thanks
to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion
which is the inheritance of the saints (God's holy people) in the
Light.  The Father has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of the darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love."  "The kingdom of God
does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display.  Nor
will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, it is there!  For behold,
the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts].." (Lk. 17:20-21)
"And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven
has endured violent assault and violent men seize it by force (a
precious prize – a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most
ardent zeal and intense exertions)." ( Mtt. 11:12)
Now we have been made to qualify through Jesus to operate as ambassadors to the kingdom of God.  Our kingdom
is not of this world, but it is within us, just as an any ambassador
would have their kingdom in their hearts.  They would represent how
their kingdom operates in a foreign country.  We are living and working
for our kingdom also.  We are to function according to the kingdom of
God here on earth.  The kingdom of God operates and is effective based
upon the foundation of love.  The language of our kingdom is faith.
Those who want to be effective, must seek the ways of the kingdom with
the most ardent zeal and intense exertion.  You must be stirred up about
what the kingdom is stirred up about.
Listen to what will always remain in this kingdom of ours.  "And now abides faith, hope and love [faith—conviction and belief
respecting mans relation to God and divine things; hope–joyful and
confident expectation of external salvation;  love–true affection for
God and man, growing out of God's love for us and in us] these three;
but the greatest of these is love.  Eagerly pursue and seek to acquire
this love [make it your aim, your great quest].."  (I Corin.
13:13–14:1)
  Love is the greatest
building block in our kingdom.  Now let me ask you a question.  Has love
really been your great quest or aim?  This is what makes the kingdom of
God effective in every area that the kingdom can and will influence
those around.  Is this what you are building in your heart?  When was
the last time you actually pursued and sought to acquire this love?
This is what causes us to become truly like God and to really know God
more intimately.  Listen:
"May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love. (sounds like foundation material and building stones) That you may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length and depth and height.  And to know the love of Christ,
which passes knowledge that you may be filled unto all the fullness of
God. [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence and become a
body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]
(Ephes. 3:17-19)
    Love is the
greatest force of the kingdom and it will abide forever.  Love will
cause you to be filled with the fullness of God to the richest measure.
This love increases the knowledge of God in you and makes your faith
more energized.  We are kingdom people, ambassadors for the kingdom of
heaven, and this kingdom operates by love.  So, let's get violent and
seize the kingdom, by love, our great quest and aim.  It's done by intense exertion and ardent zeal of love.  It is not of this world, it is the way of the kingdom and our great King.
"Therefore be imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well beloved children. And walk in love,.." (Ephes.5:1-2)

Love,

Pastor D.

Ears to Hear

Good Morning,

I have been meditating on the words of a song and also these same words are found in the Song of Solomon.  Listen with your heart to these verses.

S.O S.1:15; "Behold you are fair, my love; behold you are fair; you have dove's eyes."  "Behold you are fair, my love; behold you are fair; you have dove's eyes within your locks:…" (S.O.S.4:1)  Then it appears again in S.O.S.2:14; "{So I went with him, and when we were climbing the rocky steps up the hillside, my beloved shepherd said to me} O my dove, {while you are here} in the seclusion of the clefts of the solid rock,
in the sheltered and secret place of the cliff, let me see your face,
let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet and your face is
lovely."
My meditation was on the words 'dove's eyes and dove'.  It
is interesting to note that dove's mate for life.  They are faithful to
one another.  Their mating is symbolized as one of warmth.  Doves are
gentle and meek.  That is why we typify them as a symbol of peace.  Interestingly enough the Word of God portrays the Holy Spirit as a dove.
(Mtt. 3:16; Mk. 11:15; Lk. 3:22; Jn.1:32); (because Holy Spirit is meek, gentle, faithful and single-eyed)   The
dove's eyes represent having undistracted vision.  Single-eyedness,
nothing else enters the eye gate, but what it is looking upon.
    As we keep a
single-eyedness toward our Lover of our soul, it is easier to ascend up
the steep and narrow places of life.  Only those that have undistracted
vision, keeping their gaze fixed on the Lover of their soul will be
able to come up into the high places of God.  Having a single-eyedness
also causes your ears to become sensitive to His voice alone.  You know,
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them and they follow Me." (Jn.10: 27)  Also, having an undistracted vision and single-eyedness makes for peace.  Notice the verse that follows S.O.S. 2:14, verse 15, it says, "Catch all the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyard."  In
order to keep those foxes out of our vineyard, we would do well to
train our eyes to become single.  All of the little foxes are everything
in our lives that distract and keep our eyes upon them.  No matter
what it is, big or small.  They are burrowers that try to dig deep and
get our eye off of the Lord of our soul.  From inner issues to outer
issues.  Our promise is,
"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You." (Is. 26:3)  Our Lord is working to keep our eyes of love faithfully looking unto him.  Remember and think on these Words this week; "Now
I say this to your own welfare and profit, not to put a [halter of}
restraint upon you, but to promote what is seemly and in good order and
to secure your undistracted and undivided devotion to the Lord."
"Looking away [from all that will distract us] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the source of our faith…"  (I Corin. 7:35; Hebrews 12:2)
Now listen to this: "The light of the body is the eye; therefore when your eye is single, your whole body also is full of light.."  ( Lk.11:34)
You and I owe it to our new life in Christ to become single-eyed and to
become undistracted in our faithful love to the Lover of our soul.
Listen to how it delights our Lord.
S.O.S. 4:9; "You have ravished My heart, my sister, my spouse; you have ravished My heart with one of your eyes..
Ravished means to transport with love, joy and delight.  To carry away as into another state.  Every
time we stay single-eyed we transport our Lord with our love into great
delights and joys.  Let's focus our dove's eyes on Him at all times.

 Love,

Pastor D.

Ears to Hear

Good Morning,

I received this word as I was coming out of my prayer closet.

This enemy of Ours is attempting
to lull a great body of My people to sleep.  "Sleep", he says, "through
the crisis in your life".  "Sleep", he says, "to the cries of the lost
world".  "Sleep, you don't need to be aware of the times or season that
you are in", says the liar.  Sleep so that your spiritual senses become
dull.  Sleep in order that you might receive more of his lies.  Sleep so that you are deaf to My voice.
He is using the cares of this
world, the lust and longings for other things, (wants, entertainment,
business) and the deceitfulness of riches, those cravings and desires
for more and more, all those things that beckon for your attention.  He
is applying a smoke screen.
    Awake from your spiritual slumber,
for it is the sleep of death!  Sent to kill your real life in Me.  Where
are the watchmen on the walls?  Those who are seers, that I have
anointed to see ahead, to the times and the season.  Listen as they cry
out to you.  For the spirit of deceitfulness has caused your walk to
become lethargic, as one who feels in the darkness.  Your great light
that once burned brightly has become small.  Wake up to righteousness!
You don't even know how far you have fallen.  You have judged yourself
by others that have been dulled by this life.  Those who have become
lovers of this world.  Those who are taking pleasure in the wickedness
around them.  Turn your gaze back on Me, your Bright and Morning
Star.  You once ran with the messengers that carried My Word.  Now you
have put down your torch and run with the jackals of this temporary
world.  Return to
Me
!
You must stay planted by the river of My
Word in order to have a ceaseless supply of fresh water.  So that no
matter what the outer conditions, you will continue to produce.  Each
time you dwell in darkness and with sin, you are weakened to your
defense against it.  Your delight and desires for Me will shift.  You
cannot love two lovers.  You will either hate the one and love the
other.  Remember how you loved Me, I was your delight and your desire.
Come back to Me with your whole heart and I will heal you of your
backsliding heart.  I have been speaking gently, while the world screams
at you for your attention and affection.  Now I will shout as one who is
in travail.  Awake, arise and stir yourself up to Me!!  Do not grow
weary in your waiting.  Do not grow weary in your well doing.  I will
come for you.  I Am coming for My Bride, so wake up to My Word.  Stay
alert to My Presence and know the times that we are in.
Here are the scriptures that I heard in my heart . II
Corin. 2:14-16; " …Now He uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ
everywhere, like a sweet perfume.  Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance
rising up to God.  But this fragrance is perceived differently by those
who are being saved and by those who are perishing.  To those who are
perishing we are a dreadful smell of death and doom.  But to those who
are being saved, we are a life giving perfume…"  II Corin.13:5;
"Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test
yourselves.  Surely you know if Jesus Christ is among you, if not, you
have failed the test of genuine faith.  "I Corin. 15: 33-34; "Be not
deceived and misled!  Evil companionships (communion, associations)
corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.  Awake from
your drunken stupor and return to sober sense and your right minds and
sin no more….."
    There are
some other verses that the Lord gave me and I pray that you will give
them serious meditation and study.  Do you remember how it was when you
first loved Him?  Do you remember how you couldn't wait to go to church
and be with other believers?  Do you remember the excitement you felt
when you fist realized that God was really speaking to you through His
Word?  Let's keep ourselves stirred up in Him, it is your choice to keep
the fire burning.

Love,

Pastor D.

Ears to Hear

Good Morning,

James 1:12 – "Blessed is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved,
he will receive the victors crown of life which God has promised to
those who love Him."  I Peter 1:6-7 – "You should be exceedingly glad
on this account, though now for a little while you may  be distressed
by trials and suffer temptations.  So that the genuineness of your faith may be tested, [your faith] which is infinitely more precious than the perishable gold which is tested and purified by fire.  [This proving of your faith is intended] to redound to your praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)
is revealed.  Job 23:10 – "But He knows the way that I take (He has
concern for it, appreciates and pay attention to it).  When He has tried me, I shall come forth as refined gold (pure and
luminous).
Psalm 66:10 – "For You O God have proved us, You have tried us as silver is tried, refined and purified."
    By now we
are all seeing this process for purification and refining is costly to
God and us.  It cost our Lord His life to purchase us.  Now to uncover
the gold that is in us takes time for Him as well as for us.  For us, it
takes us going into the fire also.  Refining gold is a valuable and
costly affair.
Refine is to free from
impurities or unwanted material; to free from moral imperfections; to
improve by pruning or polishing; to free from what is coarse, vulgar or
uncouth; to become pure or perfected by improvements by both subtleties
and distinctions.
Let us think that out together.  To uncover the gold that is in us, the process is in what we see as tests, trials and tribulations,
whether they are emotional, financial, physical or through our
relationships.  God knows how to mine for gold, for he sought us and we
were dug out of the rough.  Yet, He is not through with us.  He wants the
ultimate from His purchases.  He is removing those things that are
coarse, vulgar and uncouth in us.  Freeing us from all imperfections
and impurities.  We all want the end results, to be refined.  So, now we
need to learn to count it all joy when we go through diverse testing,
it is part of the refining process.  To draw out of each of us the deep
seated value that only He sees and knows that lies beneath the
impurities that have become mixed into our character, from living in
the rough.  To
purify
means to clean; to wash or cleanse; to clarify; to make clear by
decontaminating and disinfecting; to purge and sanctify.
Our
great loving God is purifying us from all that has contaminated our
minds, and our future destiny, by allowing the fires of tests,
trials etc. to burn away from us anything that will infect us.
Infections weaken us and deprive us of our strength and potential by levels.
He is clarifying our walk with Him, clearing away all hindrances and
the familiar obstacles that we have stumbled over in the past.  Sad to
say even some of the hindrances have been people in our lives that we
refuse to let go of, that may be helping us to stay contaminated or
infected.  It doesn't always have to be inanimate things.  We need to let
God be the refiner and purifier that He is.  He is increasing the
quality and value of our life lived for Him and for those with whom we
have any affect and influence upon
.

I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying;

I Am bringing a new revelation of
holiness to you.  For you are the ones who will display My
righteousness, My holiness.  I am bringing things to the surface in you
and by My mighty strong wind I will come and blow on My gold.  With the
power and force of the wind I will blow all that has been sticking to
you.  I have placed My anointing all over you for you have stayed in the
fires and now coming forth is the new man that will not let the same
old things to stick your heart and mind like you allowed before.  You
have come into your time.  It is our time to demonstrate to this world
what real gold looks like and how you will shine, you will shine for
Me!  You are now clearer and more clarified than you have ever been
before.  There is no mixture in you.  Truly sanctified for the service of
your God.  There are moments that you can see all that I have in store
for you.  You will do great things not yet seen by men.  Your offerings
to Me are right and true now.  No more mixture.  Now all we see what
valuable gems I have in You.  You will outshine every generation.

Love,

Pastor D.

Good Morning,

Psalm 139:13-18; "You made all the
delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's
womb.  Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!  Your workmanship
is marvelous-how well I know it.  You watched me as I was being formed
in utter seclusion, as I was woven in the dark of the womb.  You saw me
before I was born.  Everyday of my life was recorded in Your book.  Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.  How
precious are Your thoughts about me, God.  They cannot be numbered!  I
can't even count them, they outnumber the grains of sand.  And when I
wake up You are still with me."
    Everyday of
our lives and every moment has been laid out by God.  There is nothing
in our lives that has caught our God by surprise or that has confused
Him.  Just think with me for a moment.  All of the childhood, teenager,
and adult traumas, struggles, misuses, abuses, and every issue that we
are now being delivered from as a Christian, has not been a surprise or
shock to Him.  Those things that the enemy of our soul tried to kill,
steal or destroy our lives, or at least stop our destiny with are not
new to God.  For instance, I was molested as a child, from the time I
was 10 years old until I was 15 years old.  The devil meant to have me
so messed up in my mind towards God, men, family, life, motherhood,
etc.  He wanted me to never trust anyone in authority, or male kind ever
again.  Along with keeping bitterness and unforgiveness as
the mainstay of my life.  When I gave my life to God, He turned those
very things that the enemy tried to destroy me with to my good and to
the advantage of the Kingdom.  You may be saying, how?  Well, I am very
sensitive to children and I am spiritually sensitive to that deviant
spirit that would try to operate in any around me.  Also I spend a lot
of intercessory prayer time for the protection of children.  I know that
just like me, each one of us have a testimony of where God has
delivered us from and brought us to.
Think about Joseph and all that he went through after his
revealed dream from God.  His brothers abused him and would have left
him for dead, except that God would not allow it, His plan would
prevail.  You know the account.  Joseph was thrown in a pit, accused of
rape, and thrown in prison.  Finally everything that Joseph saw in the
dream begin to come to pass.  He is delivered and vindicated by
God.  Joseph brings his family to live with him.  After the death of their
father, his brothers begin to think he might want to pay them back for
the abuse and selling him into slavery.  Joseph tells them, "As
for me, you thought evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring
about that many people should be kept alive, as it is this day."
(Gen.50:20)
Just like Joseph, those
evil things that were meant to destroy you, God will turn them for your
good.  Why?  So that you to can be a representative of the Deliverer to
your family and those around you.  Keeping them alive through your life
as a witness and an ambassador for the Kingdom of God.  A living testimony of the God who has a good plan for their lives as well.
Psalm 37:23-24: "The Lord directs the steps
of the godly.  He delights in every details of their lives.  Though they
stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand."
God knows those that are truly His, the godly ones.  Those that are trying with all of the help of the Holy Spirit to live their lives holy and righteously.  The word steps means companionship and the goings of.
As we stay in companionship with God, even though we may make
mis-steps, feel overwhelmed, or overthrown, we will never stay down.
We may go into the fire, but we come out without even the smell of
smoke upon us.  Floods of lifes circumstances may try to drown us,
but they cannot keep us under its force.
Micah 7:8; "Do not gloat over me, my enemies.  For though I fall, I will arise again.  Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light."
    God knew what
would happen in your life.  He knew what circumstances or situations
would make your path crooked and twist you with issues of the heart and
mind.  He knew the home you would be raised up in, the kind of parents
or people that would be responsible to raise you.  He knew how long you
would take to yield to His way.  He knew how often you would be in His
permissive will instead of His perfect will, once you became His
child.  God's plans for our lives will prevail, as long as we allow Him
to direct our goings, refusing to become entangled again with the old
yokes of bondages.  Even those times that we don't understand all of our
steps, He does.  Remember every moment of everyday He has recorded for
you.  He also knows what it will take to bring you to your destiny,
while He straightens out the crooked places.
Psalm 40:5; "O Lord my God you have
performed many wonders for us [me], Your plans for us [me] are to
numerous to list.  You have no equal.  If I tried to recite all Your
wonderful deeds I would never come to the end of them."
We
are in His thoughts at all times, we are the apple of His eye.  We have
His attention and He has incredible plans for us.  Everyday, every
moment He is planning good for you.
Psalms
37:37- "Mark {keep you eyes on} the blameless [the godly] man, and
behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace."
Peace- nothing missing, nothing broken; well, happy, good health, rest, safety, and wholly.
As we lean our whole human personality on God, He will see to it that
our steps lead us right to our destiny of peace.  Proclaim it everyday!

Good Morning,

Psalm 71:20-21; "You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth.  You will restore me to even greater honor and comfort me once again."  Suffer, hardship, troubles, these are words that we would rather not hear in the Christian community.  Yet, God reminds us that these things are allowed in our lives, in season for a reason.  This verse in the King James translation says, "Thou, which has shown me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me again from the depths of the earth." [vs.20]   Great troubles means huge, increased, and many.  Sore troubles means adversity, affliction, calamity, displeasure
grievous, sorrow and trouble.  That is just to name a few.  Why?  Why are we allowed to go through troubles and hardships?  Let's see what the Psalmist writes.  "Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word." (Psalm 119:67) "It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statues.' (Psalm 119:71) When we go through sore troubles, and we are trusting and believing God's Word, we learn that the promises are really true for us.  We have experience to go with our faith.  It is no longer the pastor's, the evangelist's, the teacher's or anyone else's testimony, it becomes your own.  You have seen the true and living God come to your aid, watch over His Word and perform it on your behalf.  The Word that you refused to let go of, that faithful promise you stood on.  When all else that you trusted in proves that it is unstable, unfaithful, not lasting, and undependable, then you are left to see God's Word will prove itself.
Look at the power and the benefit of trusting God's Word.  "…you will restore me [quicken me] to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth."  Quicken is to make alive, nourish up, to recover, repair, to restore and to revive and to preserve to life again.  Restore means to give back, to make restitution, to rebuild, to bring back to a healthy state, to make amends or compensation for, to replace in a former state of favor and grace.  After we have withstood, we then inherit the promise and receive greater honor.  God, our Father delights to lift us up from the deepest abyss of life and bring us up to the greatest place of honor.  He did it with David, Abraham, Esther, Joseph, Ruth, Gideon, Moses, Daniel, the three Hebrew boys, the list goes on and on.  When all of our dependency is in Him, not in us or the arm of flesh, stand and see the salvation of the Lord.  Salvation means, something saved, deliverance, aid, victory, prosperity, health and help.  He wants our Source to be Him, for all of His rewards are with Him.  Get ready then to be brought up from the places of the abyss and be revived, rebuilt, quickened, brought back to live, really live.  Greater grace, greater favor, greater amends and compensation.  That first burst of sunlight is awesome, train your eyes to see greater distances.  We are rising to new heights in Christ.  We have learned through our afflictions, that our God is a mighty deliverer and restorer!!!

Good Morning,

Everyone has gone through some tests, trials or tribulations in
their lifetime, and that makes us human.  Then there are those of us
that go through tests, trials etc., and we grow and change as we go
through, and that makes us Christ-like.  It is how you go through 'a
thing' that makes the difference.  Let's talk about remaining the 'light
'no matter how dark it gets around us.
Isaiah 60:2-3; "For, behold, the darkness
shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord
shall arise upon you, and His glory shall rise upon you.  And nations
shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising."
In the midst of darkness we are to remain a bright light.  So that they can see the Christ in us.  Gross means thick, gloomy, immediately, obvious, plain, evident, out and out, complete, and flagrant, rank and unmitigated.  Darkness has already become excessively growing and heavy, and we must keep shining even more brightly.  How do we stay bright?
John 1:5; The light shines on in the
darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it and has never
overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it and the
darkness is unreceptive to it].
How do we keep our light burning like a torch when the darkness is trying to envelope our light?  Psalms 34:1-9; "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.  "Will
means to choose; used to express desire, choice, consent; a habitual
action or a natural tendency or disposition; an inclination; a
settlement of any mental uncertainty and indecision made by a choice
clearly known in advance and requiring effort.
The word bless
means to make happy; give good satisfaction to; to confer prosperity
upon, highly favor; endow; to bring pleasure and contentment to
[something that promotes or is the source of happiness] to give grace
to [to regard with goodwill and approval to regard above all others; to
prefer and to be partial towards like a light].  Now we are to praise the Lord continually, to praise means to shine like a light; to make a show, to boast and to be clamorously foolish (vibrant; demonstrative; be tumultuous) to rave; to celebrate; to give light to stultify; to utter aloud; noisy outcry, appeal, demand or proclaim incessantly.  This is how we keep our flames burning bright and this is how we stay light!  By praising and blessing!  So therefore we must
will or make a choice, consent and incline, desire to express and
require effort to overcome uncertainty or indecision in our mind or
disposition to bless at all times
.  I will make God happy, give God good satisfaction and highly favor and promote God as my source of happiness.  I
will endow and bring pleasure and contentment, and give grace to regard
God above all others and prefer God and be partial towards Him at all
times.
As we will to bless God and praise Him, we are lighting the fire that must burn bright.  I
will shine like a light, by showing and boasting and be clamorously
foolish.  I will be vibrant, radiant and demonstrative.  I will be
tumultuous, rave and celebrate.  I will give light to God by uttering
aloud, making a noisy outcry, by appeal and proclaiming incessantly
continually.
    As darkness
becomes more thick and gloomy, more plain, evident and flagrant, we are
to bless and praise God.  In good times or bad.  In times of planting and
times of plucking up.  In times of healing and in times of dying.  In
times of of casting away and in times of embracing.  In times of weeping
and in times of laughing.  At all times as we bless and praise God, we
are keeping the flames burning bright!  So give God praise anyhow.  Bless
Him continually!  Remember our light will bring nations and kings to our
Lord.

Pastor D.

Ears to Hear

Good Morning,

The Spirit of the Lord says;

This is a season of dual purposes.  Always,
My purpose is being performed in the yielded vessel.  I Am uprooting,
tearing down, destroying and overthrowing those temporal values, and at
the same time I Am building up and planting those eternal
values in your lives.  It may look like things are shattering and
falling apart, but hold on to My promises.  I Am establishing a firm
foundation in the areas that have been built upon sandy shores.  Trust
Me, I will not abandon you.  I know that a dark cloud is trying to cause
a spirit of oppression.  The light, the light that can cause a
quickening is found only in My Word.  My light, My Word will guide you
daily and it will reflect far into the future for those steps also.  As
pressure and stress bear down on you, find joy in My commands.  I will
make you walk along the path of My instructions, for that is where your
happiness can be found.  I will help you to keep your eyes from
worthless
things and give you life through My Word.

Our strength is in our God. "If you fail under pressure, your strength is to small." (Prov. 24:10)
"Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
Soldiers don't get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then
they cannot please the officer who enlisted them. (II Timothy 2:3-4
)  We
must not allow this smoke-screen of living to blur our vision.  Our
real purpose is to stay on target by taking care of the family
business.  That is what pleases God.  Paul said it this way
; "I Am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory
in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen." (II Timothy 2:10)  "Work
hard so you can present yourself to God and receive His approval." (II Timothy 2:15
)
Let's work at keeping ourselves pure, at a time when the lines become blurred.  Focus, get the smoke out of your eyes.
(I John 2:15-17); "Do not love this world nor the things it offers
you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the
Father in you.  For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure [lust of the flesh], a craving for everything we see [lust of the eyes], and the pride in our achievements and possessions [pride of life]. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.  And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave.  But anyone who does what please God will live forever."

Let's keep an eternal perspective, looking beyond today's temporary
desires, longings, afflictions, and testings.  Those things that we feel
are vital to our lives, could come under the categories of the,
"the lust of the flesh [craving for physical pleasures]; the lust of the eyes [craving for everything we see]; and the pride of life [pride in our achievements and possessions] and they are temporal and of this world.

We are eternal and not of this world!

Ears to Hear

Good Morning,

Today I would like to share a moment in time.  Have you ever
stood in awe as you watched your family interacting?  You could see your
daughter smile with her eyes like your Mom has done all your life.  You
hear your son telling stories with the same excitement as your father
told them to you, years ago.  I had that unusual moment where I saw four
generations intermingling, and I could see the same generational
weakness being subtly passed along.  Usually we can spot the physical
generational iniquities, such as cancer; high blood pressure;
heart problems; poor eyesight etc.  The character generational
iniquities are harder to spot.  Predisposition or iniquities or
weakness, such examples are sexual abuse; physical abuse; drug/alcohol
addiction; having babies out of wedlock; etc.  Some of us can see these
things standing out and being handed down from one generation to
another, yet feel helpless to stop the cycle.  I would like to peel the
onion back a little more and see a deeper layer and talk about the character traits
of generational iniquities, such as fear/of failing or of succeeding;
laziness; worry; anger; short-tempered; selfishness; procrastination
etc.  How much have we passed on to the next generation?  Those things
that will be major obstacles that our children and our children's
children will have to deal with in their spiritual lives.  We want to
give our children a great inheritance, so then we must begin to die
daily to the old man and all of his ways and character traits.  Without
a doubt every generation will have its own share of iniquities to
overcome, but let us help to lighten the load by changing with the Word as our guide.  We can stop the cycle of generational weaknesses now.  Isaiah
53:4-5; "Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and
distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we
ignorantly considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God.  But
He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and
iniquities (perversity, fault, moral weaknesses); the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed."

    We know that
our iniquities are forgiven as we become Christians, we receive a new
spirit, but we still live in the same body and we have the same soul
(mind, will, emotions) this is where the iniquities hide out.  This is
where we apply the Word and the ongoing saving of our soul is in
progression.  That is why,
"I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of all the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice (that means a daily dying to your self)
holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your
reasonable service and spiritual worship.  Do not act like or be
conformed to this world [fashioned after and adapted to its external
customs] but be transformed (changed) by the entire renewal
of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude].." (Romans 12;1-2)  Let
us give to the next generations of Christians and our natural seed an
inheritance and a heritage of holiness, walking in the character of our
God.
"Those who belong to Christ have
crucified the flesh (the godless human nature) with the affections and
lusts."(Galatians 5:24)
We will leave
something behind when we leave this earth, so let's work on leaving an
inheritance that we won't mind being passed down.

Love,

Pastor D.
